Web of Lies

Former employees of the Bush Co. should start their own 12 step program.  Hello!  My name is (insert name here)  and I lied for the Bush and Cheney Administration.

Scott McClellan, the former mouth piece for the  White House has written a book titled “What Happened” due out in April 2008.  I think it should be titled WTF Happened but that’s just me. In case you don’t remember Scotty stepped down as press secretary in March of 2006.  His book will contain shocking revelations ( if you are a moron).  It looks  like the PlameGate cover-up came from the very top of the administration after all.   Public Affairs, the publisher has posted these words of wisdom from McClellan’s book:

“The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White house briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

There was one problem. It was not true.

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President’s chief of staff, and the president himself”.

So much for Bush’s claims of “restoring honesty and integrity to the White House”.  Surprise, surprise a web of lies.  I for one, am not surprised.
